About me

Hey there! I am Thomas Range

I am a Stop-Motion and Mixed Media animator from Mainz, Germany.

My Skills and Experiences

After finishing my Bachelors Degree in Film Sciences at the University of Mainz, I started specialising in handmade animation. In my Masters Degree of Timebased Media, I finished my first short films THE SALT BAG (2024) and PAPER PARTS (2026). Both films screened at several festivals, including LICHTER Filmfest Frankfurt, Sehsüchte Babelsberg, Kurzfilmfest Hamburg and Imaginaria Conversano. I also led the miniature design team for Paulina Reinekes FORGIVE US OUR SIN AND COS (2024), which screened at ITFS and won best short at LIGHT TILL DARK Festival.

After finishing my Masters Degree, I started a Post Production internship at INSPIRA Animation Valencia where I worked in Post Production of Stop-Motion projects like EL CHARRAN (2026) and Just Dance 2027.

My Services

Mixed Media Animation

Cut-Out and keyframe based animation in AfterEffects and Moho.
